Given the world we live in and the history that contextualizes us I work with a lot of trauma- intergenerational, developmental and episodic. I work with LGBTQQ+ folks, alternative lifestyles, and have experience in treating an array of issues including but not limited to issues related to trauma, sexuality, neurodivergence, adhd, gender identity, race, transitioning support, relationship issues, feelings of being othered or marginalized, grief, life transitions, chronic illness, anxiety, and depression. I can help you to recognize patterns and tendencies in your life and behavior that may be contributing to a holding pattern you feel stuck in. We will explore together what it means to be your authentic self and what stands in the way of your own full expression. The first step in any change is acknowledgment. I work with you to shine light on the spaces that yearn to be seen and attended to. I invite the parts of yourself you don't want to bring along -they are important too. We act together to identify the issue: feeling stuck in depression, frustration over goals that seem always out of reach, secrets that keep you spinning in a spiral of shame, or cyclical relationship issues that seem to come up time and time again... I help you to identify what it means to be in integrity with yourself and what it means to live a fulfilling life.
What talking therapy helps us do is to separate the particular catastrophes of our family and social circumstances from the general catastrophe of having been born human and, thus, subject to aging, death, and the dilemmas of intimacy.”
